Dealing with negative vibes, that's how you do it!

Have you ever been rejected with job applications?
Sorry, we won't invite you for an introductory interview," you've probably received this email at some point. Or 'you have too little experience', but also the classic: 'we have found a better candidate', you often hear. Okay fine, somewhere to be expected when you apply for a position where they ask for 3 years of work experience. But then again, how do you get 3 years of work experience if you have just completed your degree?
Turn something negative into something positive
A teacher, the neighbor, your ex, we all sometimes run into something we have to deal with. How do we deal with it? We all do that in our own way. One person fails his theory exam 400 times and goes on to attempt #401 without stress. While someone else can't sleep when a friend ghosts him or her. Why do some people deal with this easier than others?
The secret is in your mindset 🧠
"Happiness can be trained, it's like fitness." - Mo Gawdat.
This is how you apply it!
You're probably thinking right now, "your mindset? Yeah, that's what every course salesperson on Insta or Tiktok says. But wait ... look at the following example:
Imagine it was incredibly windy yesterday and you responded with: "Well, that's not surprising, after all, it is January." In that case, you probably wouldn't be so frustrated by the wind. But if you compared yesterday's strong wind to last year - when it was sunny and 20 degrees - you would probably be disappointed.
So, what can you take from this example? Well, it is not because of the wind that you are disappointed, but it is because of the way you think about it. Comparing creates the negative vibe!
Expecting less is the solution?
If only it were that simple. Look, we all would love to be happy all day long, but there will always be disappointments. Because yes, the bus sometimes drives away from us too. The next time you find yourself feeling sad, you might ask yourself the question: does this meet my expectations or not?
Get started yourself!
Okay, long story short: how can you start practicing this now? Step 1. Try standing still and focusing on happy moments. That feeling when you're going great at a festival, for example. That's the vibe you're looking for. Or maybe you get excited when your favo artist releases a new track on New Music Friday. That's how we can all find our happiness - even in the smallest moments.
"Your happiness is already there, you just need to see it."
